Thank You Landscape Volunteers!

A huge THANK YOU to all of the parents, staff and students who helped clean up the grounds at Hanawalt on April 11th. Jerry Carpenter (3rd grade teacher Kelly's husband and owner of "Mr. Mow It All") did the difficult job of cutting back the large, tall grasses. Mr. Baker, William and Jonathan Hays and Regan Copple did an amazing job of cleaning up the back playground area. Cleaning the front and side yards and spreading mulch were Cheryl Thompson, Kristy Barzen, Julie & Liz Hahn, Rob & Lauren Malcomson, Olivia Griffin, Tate MacKrell, Principal Burton and Sally McKenzie. Thank you all for your time and effort to beautify the grounds on such a gorgeous morning!

Landscape Cleanup Assistance Needed

Spring is in full bloom and it's time again for the Annual Spring Landscape Cleanup! The group work will occur Saturday, April 11th from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. (or however long you can stay). We need volunteers to assist in cutting back the tall grasses throughout the property and raking the cuttings to spots where they can easily be picked up by DMPS maintenance personnel. Clippers, weed whackers and rakes are the primary tools to bring.

If you are unable to help on the 11th, feel free to come by any day when you can and clip down any grasses as close to the ground as reasonably possible. We'll clean up all the clippings on the 11th.
