News From The Nurse

Winter is here and it has been tough on everyone. We are finally getting a chance to go outside for recess. Please be sure your child is ready to go outside and play. They need to have boots and snow pants if they want to go out on the field and play in the snow. If they are going to stay on the blacktop, they still need to have gloves/mittens, hats, and warm coats!

Elementary age children need between 9 and 11 hours of sleep per night. Help your child keep to a bedtime routine. It will make going to bed much easier for everyone. Be sure your child eats a good breakfast in the morning either at home or here at school. Your child can be much more successful when they come to school rested and have had a nutritious breakfast. Hopefully spring will be here soon. Please call me with any concerns/questions. – Sandra Willett
