News From The Principal

It is February, so it must be time to mention open enrollment… if you have neighbors or friends or if you have children heading into kindergarten and your other children are open enrolled, the deadline is March 1. All applications must be turned in to 901 Walnut Street. Late applications will not be considered. Families will be informed of their Hanawalt status in the summer. If you have a fifth grade open enrolled student, the district assumes that you are sending your child to Merrill Junior High. If this is not your plan, please call and let me know which school your child will be attending.

I would like to thank all of you for cooperating with our parking patrol. Students are getting safely into the building. The afternoon is still problematic for a few. Remember that we are asking for you to stay in a single file line, we cannot have kids walking in between cars - it is a simple matter of safety.
