First Grade News

The First Grade classes have been reading about the Adventures of Flat Stanley. Before Spring Break, each student made a Flat Stanley to either take along on Spring Break travels or mail to someone. We are anxious to see where all of our Flat Stanleys have been. On Thursday, March 26, 2009, the First Grade classes were able to attend The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley at the Civic Center. The students really enjoyed watching and listening to the performance.

In Science, all the first grade students are learning about seeds. We will be planting many kinds of seeds and bulbs. On April 15th, Polk County Conservation will be coming to visit our classrooms to tell us more about seeds and how things grow.
