From science discoveries, to a penguin that magically appeared from the South Pole, we have had an eventful past few weeks! Congratulations to our students for spelling 5,898 words correctly in this year’s Spelling Challenge, and thank you to everyone who generously pledged your favorite spellers. Hanawalt’s young scientists and volunteer judges were also busy launching a successful science fair. Great things are happening at Hanawalt, and we appreciate your efforts that make them possible. As any fifth-grader will tell you, Wii have lots of cool stuff planned for spring—from RIF WEEK, beginning March 2nd, to FUN NIGHT on May 1st. Enjoy spring break, and get ready for lots of learning and lots of fun in the months ahead!
